Travelling

Travel for us as a family was the usual typical package holiday staying at a hotel with a pool and a beach nearby. Flights were expensive for all 7 of us and hotels normally couldn't accommodate all of us in one room.

Myself and Dionne have travelled quite a lot as backpackers so to then have kids and feel trapped in these soulless package holidays was not a nice feeling. The kids enjoyed it. Why wouldn't they? They had the sunshine, pools and beaches and as much ice cream as they could eat. Thats them sorted!

Seeing the world, spending time together and developing our children to become the best versions of themselves.

Dionne and I spoke about trying something different. In 2020, we did.

We hired a motorhome and took a 35 day road trip around Spain, Portugal and France. Whilst there were good and bad parts to the trip, we were glad to have tried and experienced it.

We were free to roam around as we pleased and the kids loved that too. That feeling of freedom for both us and the happiness we saw on our kids is a feeling that never left us from that trip. It is what inspired us to have the courage to embark on this global adventure.
